USGBC EPP At SHP Leading Design, we believe that education provides a stronger workforce. And a stronger, more educated workforce provides better projects for clients. That is why we developed an education program for not only our employees, but also industry professionals. We provide classes for those seeking LEED® Accreditation, registered architects wishing to obtain AIA continuing education credits, or professionals wanting to further their knowledge and career.

SHP is a U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) Approved Education Provider and an American Institute of Architects Continuing Education Systems (AIA/CES) Approved Provider. Take a look and see what SHP can do to help further your career.


LEED® Green Associate Exam Prep Course 

SHP is pleased to offer a brand new course geared towards helping course attendees understand the basics of the LEED® rating systems and sustainable design and prepare for the LEED Green Associate credentialing exam. Through this course, attendees will learn the principles and core concepts of sustainable design as well as gaining an understanding of what LEED is and how it is used on projects. Additionally, the course will present a practical study methodology for LEED Green Associate exam as well as helpful study tips and a comprehensive study guide developed by SHP.

•    One Day course from 8:30am to 4:30pm ($400)
•    6 AIA Health, Safety and Welfare and Sustainable Design continuing education units
•    Course includes breakfast and lunch
•    Attendees will also tour the SHP Leading Design office, a LEED Gold space

LEED® for Contractors, Methods and Strategies

SHP’s LEED for Contractors course offers LEED education specifically for the construction industry, including general contractors, subcontractors, and material suppliers. This four-part course focuses on the four phases of a LEED project: Planning, Bidding, Implementation and Documentation. Attendees will learn the basics of the LEED program and then be guided through methods and strategies for a successful LEED project including helpful tips from a LEED-experienced instructor. This course includes a nearly 200 page SHP developed training guide which includes extremely helpful sample LEED plans and tracking forms.

•    One Day course from 9:00am to 4:00pm ($375)
•    5 AIA Health, Safety and Welfare and Sustainable Design continuing education units
•    Course includes breakfast and lunch
•    Course is offered in SHP’s Cincinnati and Columbus offices
