SHP Leading Design Adds Sustainability Blog

SHP Leading Design has added a sustainable design blog to its menu of blog offerings.  The new blog, buildingmygreenlife.com, showcases SHP's leadership in sustainable design and concentrates on living,working and building sustainably.

The new blog is the the brainchild of SHP's Director of Sustainability, Allison Beer.  Allison is recognized throughout the industry as the knowledgable authority on sustainable design.  As a licensed architect and skilled presenter, she has been responsible for educating clients, consultants and team members on LEED strategies.  She was also integral in the development of SHP's LEED training classes and has taught training classes to over 750 participants on behalf of SHP. 

"SHP continually looks for ways to help educate the industry on sustainable design," Beer said.  "The blog is another offering to help professionals understand all aspects of sustainability from building design, to consumer products, to sustainable operations to greenwashing and pretty much everything in between."

In addition, Allison has served as a LEED consultant to multiple clients, such as Al. Neyer and CB Richard Ellis, and is continuously looking for ways to help SHP expand their business offerings.  She was integral in helping develop and write the content for a line of iPhone applications called EcoFlash. These applications are geared at helping individuals study for the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) professional accreditation exams.
