Specifications

This teaching facility and retail store was designed to be a paradigm in the beauty industry.  The design emphasizes personal well-being and environmental responsibility. The project won the American School and University’s Educational Interior Showcase 2007 Gold Citation.

Key features include:

  • The main cutting room that creates a focal point with bright orange and blue panels made from recycled detergent bottles and a floor made from renewable cork.
  • Sixty haircutting stations have the flexibility to roll out of the way creating a large lecture space.
  • Classrooms that boast dividing walls made from an environmentally-friendly resin for added flexibility.
  • An open, 2,000 SF mezzanine visually connecting the two floors with the use of glass and an open balcony design.
