- To better meet student needs, the commons area includes a student lounge space with kitchenette with connection to the outside patio area.
- The building’s position improves the campus image by screening a maintenance building from the early childhood center.
- The design meets H.B. 251 guidelines for energy efficiency and conservation and also looks to the future by offering space for a campus-wide energy system to meet the college’s comprehensive energy master plan.
