(Cincinnati) – SHP Leading Design is pleased to announce that the firm has been named to Engineering News-Record’s (ENR) Top 100 Green Design Firms for the third year in row.
“It is quite an honor to be viewed as a top green firm again this year,” SHP President Lauren Della Bella said. “Several years ago, SHP made a commitment to sustainable design and infuse it into every part of our organization.”
With over 75% of the multi-disciplined design staff being LEED Accredited and over 40 LEED registered or certified projects, SHP has taken the sustainable commitment even further. The firm adopted as one of the organization goals the American Institute of Architects 2030 Commitment for carbon neutral design.
According to ENR, as a group, the Top 100 Green Design Firm generated $3.74 billion in design revenue in 2010 from projects registered with and actively seeking certification from third-party ratings groups under objective sustainable-design standards, such as the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design standards. This revenue is a 12.3% increase over $3.33 billion in 2009 for the group. Domestically, green design revenue rose 19.4%, to $3.30 billion in 2010 from $2.76 billion in 2009.
In addition, SHP was also named one of ENR’s Top 500 Design Firms and Top 250 Architecture Firms.
