SHP Selected for Zane State Project

(Cincinnati) – SHP Leading Design is pleased to announce that the firm was selected to design the new Zane State Advanced Science and Technology Center.  The new 40,000 square foot facility is expected to open in 2013.

“SHP is very excited to work with Zane State College,” said SHP Vice President Andrew Maletz.  “Given our experience with colleges and universities, as well as our expertise on LEED and sustainable projects, we are ready to get to work on the expansion of the College.”

SHP Leading Design’s extensive knowledge of the LEED rating system as well as sustainable design solutions brings them to the forefront of the industry.  The firm’s portfolio includes the design of over 40 LEED registered or certified projects as well as over $80 Million in higher education facilities.

In a press release from the College, Zane State President Dr. Paul Brown said “this is a firm out of Columbus that has extensive experience with science, technology and math buildings.  They also have a great deal of experience with LEED certified, energy efficient buildings.”

The press release also expressed how the new facility will be a living lab powered by geothermal and solar energy.  It will integrate science and technology programs currently spread all over campus.
