SHP Attends Dedication and Celebration of Dayton Regional STEM School

On Thursday, November 21st, 2013, the Dayton Regional STEM School hosted a new building dedication ceremony in conjunction with a 5-year anniversary of the school's opening.  The public school, located in Kettering, Ohio, serves grades 6-12 with a focus on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.  While the Dayton Regional STEM School is one of 12 of its kind in the state of Ohio, it is the first design/build project to receive Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC) funding as its first STEM project.

SHP Leading Design developed the new Phase II of the building with a program of requirements that included 8 classrooms, 2 flexible, open classrooms, 2 dedicated science labs with support space, 3 dedicated project labs including an engineering bar, five open, flexible break out areas with soft seating, a wellness room to support PE activities and offices and conference rooms.
