SHP’s relationship with the Brookville Local Schools began nearly a decade ago with the planning and design of a new 4-12 school as part of the district’s OSFC building program. Building on the success of the previous building, SHP designed a school that shares the same aesthetically pleasing style but with a more classical interpretation.
Key project features include:
- Traditional brick, four round columns and a classic cupola welcome the district’s youngest learners. A large window wall provides a peek inside the media center.
- Two colorful ELA spaces provide break-out learning space for both large and small groups. Flexible furniture includes both hard and soft seating and provides a variety of interaction areas.
- Ample play spaces and an outdoor learning lab focus on sustainable practices.
