Project Description

Specifications

As part of the district-wide facilities Master Plan designed by SHP, two new elementary schools were constructed to replace outdated educational facilities. Boyd E. Smth and Charles L. Seipelt Elementaries feature the same footprint with academic wings in two stories: grades K-3 on one floor and grades 4-6 on the other.

Key features include:

  • A centrally-located media center designed for flexibility and easy accessibility for all students.
  • Daylit classrooms and media center to maximize energy savings.
  • Six small group learning studios evenly distribute throughout the academic areas.
  • Strategically designed sites to allow for safe separation of staff, bus and parent drop-off as well as separation from the playgrounds.
