Project Description

Specifications

This 88,838 sf, 2-story PK-12 school delivers a 21st Century learning environment for its 525 students. The design offers a flexible environment that supports collaboration and the educational needs at the elementary, middle and high school grade levels.

Key features include:

• The 7-12 MS/HS area offers designated rooms for lecture that can be reconfigured as needed. Double doors lead out to the ELA for individualized learning. A small group area off the ELA is designed for team work and projects. Dedicated classroom and lab space support the school’s Agricultural Education program.

• The media center has been re-envisioned as a smaller book lounge/collaboration zone with a coffee shop/spirit wear area. That space, as well as the cafeteria, has the flexibility for lectures.

• The elementary school supports team teaching in the classroom. Every two classrooms open up to a small group space. Classrooms are grouped around an Extended Learning Area (ELA), large enough to hold two to three classes.
