Cincinnati — August 4, 2015 — The Ohio Kentucky Chapter of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) has named Carrie Malatesta as its president for 2015-2016. Malatesta was appointed to the position by her peers following nine years of involvement with the IIDA, where she has held various committee positions.
“My goals for the upcoming year involve elevating the discussion about interior design in a variety of sectors,” Malatesta said. “I will work to help revitalize the Coalition of Interior Designers for Legislation in Ohio (CIDLO) and maintain the Title Law in Kentucky. I am also looking forward to working with the IIDA Ohio Kentucky Chapter Board to refresh our Annual Conference in 2017 to be more design-focused.”
Malatesta is currently Director of Interior Design and an associate at SHP Leading Design, where she specializes in corporate and educational projects. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design in 2000 from the University of Cincinnati’s acclaimed School of Design, Architecture, Art and Planning. Malatesta resides in Hamilton, Ohio.
